AUTHENTIC SEACOAST CELEBRATES COMMISSIONING OF HMCS MARGARET BROOKE WITH LAUNCH OF SEA FEVER® DARK RUM – NAVY ISSUE

Authentic Seacoast was greatly honoured to have been tasked with providing the commemorative rum by the ship’s company for the commissioning celebrations of Arctic Offshore Patrol Vessel HMCS Margaret Brooke on October 28, 2022 at CFB Halifax. SEA FEVER® Dark Rum – Navy Issue was served to an appreciative and very discerning audience that included many dignitaries and servicewomen and men in attendance.

Authentic Seacoast’s owner and distiller, Glynn Williams, who presented the rum to the ship’s company and joined in the toast to many successful future deployments for ship and crew, stated “Specifically developed for the commissioning celebrations and crew, this Navy Issue dark rum is authentic to the best of navy traditions, with strong notes of oak, vanilla and caramel. We are excited by the response of the crew and to learn that this rum has been selected for the ship’s stores.”

The custom label highlights the storied history of the ship’s namesake, Lt Cmdr Nurse Margaret Brooke, who was recognized for her gallantry during WWII, and features an original painting by Williams of the ship during its winter trials in the Canadian Arctic. Williams presented his artwork to Cmdr Nicole Robichaud, Commanding Officer, for the ship and crew, during the ceremony.
